چکیده
In this paper, we present a new formulation using the ( ) time-domain electric-field integral equation TD EFIE to obtain a transient scattering response from arbitrarily shaped conducting bodies. The time deri ati e of the magnetic ector potential is approximated with a central finite difference, and the scalar potential is time a eraged by di iding it into two terms. This approach with an implicit method using central-difference results in accurate and stable transient scattering responses from conducting objects. Detailed mathematical steps are included, and se eral numerical results are presented. 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 31: 429 435, 2001.

In this paper, we use the matrix pencil approach to extrapolate time-domain responses from three-dimensional (3D) conducting objects that arise in the numerical solution of electromagnetic field problems. By modeling the time functions as a sum of complex exponentials, we can eliminate some of the instabilities that arise in late times for the electric-field integral equation in the time domain...
